WHO IS D-ACHEE?
D-Achee is a NY/NJ-based and Trinidadian-born multiinstrumentalist, percussionist, singer, songwriter, lyricist, composer and producer. D-Achee's music is incredibly energetic from the vocals, the drum, guitar to the mega steel pan; the sound has an infectious drive to its motion and can bring up your spirits from a small party to an international big stage festival.
With diverse repertoire of jazz, soul, Calypso, and original music, D-Achee will make you feel and dance. He can perform solo, as a duo with the Steel Pan or Guitar, or as a trio with drums and bass. His full piece band is touring throughout Europe and gathers people from different cultures together.
He is devoted to creating music to liberate using passion as fuel to spread the message of unity and better days. Combining culture, melodies, and good vibrations in his World, Afrobeats, Caribbean vibes.
WHAT’S THE BELIEF
To live a life as pure as the music he is creating, growing his locks for more than 22 years, D-Achee really believes in a sound mind - body - soul state of being... you can hear it. Known in NY and NJ to have some of the longest locks today, he lives an upstanding, organic, and plant-based lifestyle with his wife and children along with their generational values.
WHAT ABOUT THAT DJEMBE?
With his signature handmade Djembe, D-Achee's agile hands play the sounds that represent the essence of the drum; to bring everyone together in peace. He handcrafts his own Djembe from scratch to play and creates custom pieces for other artists.
